The Joniškio aruodas cooperative, established more than ten years ago, is today a modern, competitive, reliable agricultural company, whose plans include consistent further development and even greater business profitability.

The main values ​​of the cooperative - trust, transparency and effective joint activities.

Now the cooperative unites 100 shareholders who manage 17,000 hectares of arable land. The average size of the farm is about 170 hectares. Shareholders directly participate in the management of the cooperative.

The cooperative employs 31 employees who implement the decisions made by the shareholders of the cooperative.

In its daily activities, the cooperative performs the following functions

• sells the production grown by the shareholders;
• provides with fertilizers, pesticides, seeds and other means necessary for the development of economic activities;
• organizes the activities of the elevator and warehouses;
• receives, dries and cleans grain, transports it to ports and other purchase points;
• offers partners advantageous financing conditions;
• regularly exchanges information about grain market trends;
• provides advice in the fields, helps to choose grain growing technologies;
• manages the cooperative's business activity documents;
• manufactures and repairs hydraulic hoses.

The cooperative's assets include:

a modern grain storage facility with 50,000 tons of production storage capacity;
automated grain processing technology (reception, cleaning, drying, unloading);
a modern grain quantity and quality accounting system;
unloading systems for grain transportation by rail;
an above-ground warehouse of 2,300 m2 for fertilizer and grain storage;
long-term land lease.

Grain trade – 68 percent.

Trade in crop products – 28 percent.
Elevator services – 4 percent.

Cooperative members – 80 percent
Non-cooperative members – 20 percent

Share of income generated by cooperative members:

Grain trade – 99 percent
Crop products trade – 82 percent
Elevator services – 26 percent

Cooperative members sell about 90 percent of their grown products through the cooperative.
